What is IBPS PO?
IBPS PO exam is a great opportunity for you to get into the banking sector of India which is one of the best white-collar jobs in the country. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) uploads IBPS PO Notification every year on its official website – ibps.in. IBPS PO selection procedure includes Preliminary, Mains & interview. A candidate has to clear both preliminary and mains examination to be eligible for the interview process. Candidates who have cleared the IBPS PO exam can be posted anywhere in India in any branch of participating banks. Currently, there are 17 national banks which participated in IBPS PO exam.
Back in 2011, IBPS started the Common Written Examination (CWE) for recruiting officers and clerks in all Public Sector Banks. Earlier this exam was known as IBPS PO exam but now the name has been changed to IBPS CWE.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria
IBPS PO Qualification
- A candidate must possess a minimum qualification of Graduation from a recognized University/Institute in any discipline
- A candidate must possess valid marksheet/degree certificates that state that he/she is a graduate on the day he/she registers for the exam. It should also indicate the percentage of Marks obtained in Graduation while registering online
IBPS PO Age Criteria
- Minimum Age Requirement: 20 years
- Maximum Age Requirement: 30 years

Recently, IBPS has introduced a descriptive paper in its mains exam for selection of candidates to the post of Probationary officer.

IBPS PO Application Fee
A candidate need to pay Rs. 850/- (General and OBC) as their application fee for IBPS PO exam. The same amount is narrowed down to Rs. 175/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category.
