RRB JE Eligibility Criteria:
The Railway Recruitment Board has set the Eligibility Criteria for the posts of Junior Engineer(JE), Depot Material Superintendent & Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant. The eligibility criteria consist of age limit, educational qualification, medical verification, and citizenship. RRB Junior Engineer Eligibility – Nationality
As per the RRB Exam eligibility regarding nationality, a candidate must belong to the following categories:
- A citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal
- A subject of Bhutan
- A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with to permanently settle in India.
RRB JE Age Limit:
As per the prescribed age criteria given in the official notification candidates should possess

RRB JE Exam – Frequently Asked Questions:
- Are the candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation eligible to apply for the RRB JE Notification?
Ans. No, the candidates appearing for the final year or awaiting the final result of the prescribed educational qualification are not eligible to apply for the notification. He/She must possess the prescribed qualification before filling the online application.
- Is there negative marking for wrong attempts in RRB JE paper II?
Ans. Yes, there is a negative marking of 1/3 rd marks for each wrong answer in CBT 1 & 2.
- What is the minimum eligible marks for each category?
Ans. UR – 40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST -25%.
- Is there any interview for the selection of RRB JE candidates?
Ans. There is no interview round in the Railway JE recruitment process. RRB Junior Engineer official notification has never mentioned any details regarding the Interview/personality test/group discussion or any such process.
