RRB NTPC CBT-1 and CBT-2 Exam Pattern
The RRB NTPC selection process includes two computer-based tests. The subject split below is from the Railway Recruitment Board’s CEN 07/2025 Undergraduate notification. It is useful when turning a downloaded practice PDF into a timed mock test.

Marking: One mark per correct answer and a deduction of 1/3 mark per incorrect answer. *Eligible candidates using a scribe receive 120 minutes under the cited notification. The section-wise question counts are indicative and may vary slightly in an actual paper. Read the official RRB notification (Section 13).
How to Practise with These Railway NTPC Papers
- Start with one paper. Complete it without looking at the solution. If you are preparing for CBT-1, use the official 90-minute timer instead of an old booklet’s printed timing.
- Calculate your score correctly. Count one mark for every correct answer and subtract one-third of a mark for each incorrect answer.
- Check every error. Compare your responses with the linked solution PDF. Note down whether the mistake came from a weak concept, a calculation error or lack of time.
- Revise and repeat. Practise the missed topics before attempting the next code. Use updated current-affairs material alongside older paper sets.
