NDA 2021 Notification

Union Public Service Commission – UPSC releases Notification for NDA Written Exam twice a year. As you know that there are three stages of NDA selection process i.e.

  1. written exam,
  2. SSB interview &
  3. medical fitness test

(Four stages for air force aspirants as there is CPSS or PABT conducted after SSB interview).

Here, you have to take a note that UPSC is only responsible for releasing NDA notification, completing NDA online registration process, releasing of NDA admit card, conducting of NDA written exam & publishing the result – means you can say that UPSC only has the responsibility to complete the stage 1 i.e. NDA written exam & share the list of NDA written exam successful candidates to defence authorities i.e. army, navy & air force.

Now service selection board – SSB will conduct the 5 days interview & declare the result of candidates who are successful in SSB interview. Then the medical board of defence wings examines each & every candidates deeply & declares fit or unfit.

NDA Notification 2021 for April & Sep Exam

As we mention above that UPSC releases NDA notification twice a year. It means the complete cycle of NDA entrance exam is conducted two times a year & you have the great chance to clear / repeat the NDA exam two times in a year. UPSC releases 1st notification in the month of December for NDA I April Exam & 2nd Notification in the month of June for NDA 2 September Exam.

What happens on the day of NDA Written Exam –

You have to appear in Paper 1 Maths & Paper 2 General Ability Test on the same day with 1:30 hours of interval in-between the both papers. Kindly note that NDA written exam is one day exam. In First shift (10 am – 12:30 pm) Paper of Maths is conducted & in Second shift (2 pm – 4:30 pm) the paper of GAT – General Ability Test is conducted.

NDA Application Fees

  • For General & OBC – Applicants have to pay Rs. 100/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/MasterCard/Rupay Credit/Debit Card.
  • For SC / ST candidates / Sons of JCOs / NCOs / Ors – Applicants are exempted to pay any fees. This means they don’t have to pay any application fees.

List of Documents

Those students who are going to fill NDA Online Application Form; have to prepare a list of documents that needs to upload to complete NDA online application form. Kindly make sure that you have the soft copy of these documents in proper size & format.

NDA Exam Centre

The change of the NDA Exam Centre won’t be allowed once you filled the NDA application form online. So before start filling the NDA application form online, you must sure your desired NDA exam centre. The NDA examination will be held at the following centres.

NDA Application Process

How to apply – The filling of nda online application contains two parts.

  • Part I registration – candidate will have to fill basic information. On submission of details, candidate will be prompted to check the details and make correction, if any, in the application.
  • Part-II Registration – filling up Payment details (except for fee exempted candidates), uploading of Photograph, Signature, Photo Identity Card Document, selection of examination centre and Agreeing to Declaration.

On successful completion of your complete application, an auto-generated email message will be sent on your registered email-id. In case email is not received by you please check / ensure that submission of Part-II of the Application has been made by you.

NDA Admit Card

Download three weeks before the NDA exam date – Those candidates whose registration are successful; shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks prior to the commencement of the NDA examination. Candidates can download the e-Admit which are made available on the UPSC website upsconline.nic.in. Kindly note that no hard copy of the admit card will be sent by post. So providing self-owned & working / valid email & a mobile number is mandatory for all future communication.

Where to contact in case you don’t receive or able to download e-Admit Card – If a candidate does not receive his e-Admit Card or for any other communication, he should contact the UPSC office at least one week before the NDA exam date. Information in this regard can also be obtained from the Facilitation Counter located in the UPSC office either in person or over Phone Nos. 011–23385271 / 011–23381125 / 011–23098543 Extn 4119 & 4120.
