Before You Use This CUET University List

A university appearing in the participating list does not mean that every course offered by that university uses CUET. Universities may accept CUET scores only for selected undergraduate programmes.

  • Check the exact course and subject combination accepted by the university.
  • Confirm Class 12 subjects, minimum marks, age conditions and reservation rules.
  • Visit the university’s own admission portal after the CUET result.
  • Complete any separate counselling or registration form before its deadline.
  • Do not assume that submitting the NTA application automatically registers you for university counselling.

NTA conducts the test and publishes the score. Universities prepare their own merit lists and handle admission-related queries.

What to Do After the CUET 2026 Result

  1. Download and save your scorecard. NTA does not send a printed scorecard.
  2. Prepare a realistic university shortlist. Compare course eligibility, CUET subject mapping, location, fee, hostel options and previous admission trends.
  3. Register on university admission portals. Delhi University, BHU, JNU and other universities run their own admission systems and deadlines.
  4. Fill programme preferences carefully. A strong CUET score cannot compensate for choosing a programme for which your subject combination is ineligible.
  5. Track merit lists and seat-allocation rounds. Universities may publish several rounds, upgrades, spot rounds or physical-reporting instructions.
  6. Keep original documents ready. Class 10 and 12 certificates, CUET scorecard, category certificates, identity proof, photographs and university-specific documents may be required.

How to Choose the Right CUET University

Do not shortlist universities only by brand name. Start with the course you want and then compare the institutions offering it through your CUET subject combination.

  • Eligibility: Class 12 subjects, minimum marks, age and category rules.
  • Programme fit: curriculum, honours or research structure, electives and internship opportunities.
  • Admission route: CUET subjects used, weightage, additional tests or interviews, if any.
  • Cost: tuition fee, hostel, food, travel and refundable deposits.
  • Location: safety, climate, connectivity and access to internships or industry.
  • Outcome: placements, higher-study pathways, faculty and alumni network.

A balanced preference list should contain ambitious, realistic and safer options. This protects you from depending on a single merit list.
